Bordering an image is not a difficult task now. There are many benefits of bordering an image as it draws people’s attention and helps separate those images from content. Google Docs has as rich features as MS Word, and they help make our files and documents more attractive.

Google Docs has the feature to provide a border to any image of your choice or related to your documents and presentations that you have worked upon. In this article, we will be guiding you on how to add a border to an image on Google Docs.

First, you have to add a photo to your document in Google docs. For this, go to the menu bar and click on the Insert icon.

Click Insert> Image and then select one picture from multiple sources like Computer, Web, Drive, URL, etc.

Now you have added an image to your document. You should go ahead with adding borders to the pictures.

Now, you can provide a border to your photo using two methods:

  • First, click on the photo and then go to the Border Dash button and choose the best options available to you.
  • At Border Dash, you will find three options to get a border to your photo.
  • Second, click on the Border Weight and choose what preferred weight you want for your photo.
  • There are many options available at Border Weight like 1pt, 3pt, 4pt, 8pt, etc.

Provide a Color to an Image

You can also color your border of an image. For this, you need first to border your picture and then color it. Follow the steps above to border an image, and below are the steps to color an image.

  1. Click on the photo that you have inserted through Computer, Web, URL, or Drive.
  2. Then, click the Border Color icon. This icon will provide you a massive amount of colors to the border of any picture.
